The app serves as a social media platform solely for travel purposes and recommendations. Travelling is food for the soul and Myna aspires to streamline the process of soul searching.

These travelers go through a variety of mediums to make their decisions, ranging from photography app, to review blogs, to booking sites. Myna's aim is the streamline this process and bring everything under one umbrella.

Myna is a centralized app for all travel needs, from inspiration, to planning, to on-trip guidance. It helps travelers enjoy the moments before, during and after the trip to make the world a more accessible destination.


The user journey was broken down into key stages and through wireframes the Myna app was prototyped in Figma, keeping in mind user flows and needs. The app features:

  • Creating a travel/creator profile

  • Suggestions based on friends, interests and people the user follows

  • On-trip guidance and step-by-step off-line navigation​​​​​​​​​​​​​​


Developing an app from the ground up allowed for a wide range of experimentation. Some of the app features are:

  • Planning trips based on blogger/ influencer guides

  • ​An all-encompassing system for reviews, planning, budgeting, booking and posting​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ content

  • ​Minute by minute trip updates with various modes of transport

  • ​Ability to 'check-in' along the trip and create a mini vlog (for content creators)​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​


Alongside this, the logo and brand identity were also designed keeping in mind the values Myna brings as a company.
